About The Practitioner

Griffin T. Lynch, LMBT #16836

Education:

I am a 2017 graduate of the NC Massage School where I successfully completed a 650-hour certification curriculum and passed written and practical examinations demonstrating advanced clinical skills in evaluation and treatment of soft tissue injury, postural distortion and dysfunctional biomechanics.  I am certified in Swedish Massage and Clinical Neuromuscular and Structural Bodywork.

Prior to enrolling at the NC Massage School, I studied Public Policy at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and attended high school at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics.

Why I do what I do:

During my senior year of high school at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics, I was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor.  I awoke from surgery to remove the tumor unable to speak, swallow, and move my right side. A few weeks later, post-op complications left me legally blind.  My experience as a patient solidified my desire to help people heal and recover from injury.  With massage therapy's focus on touch rather than sight, my vision loss has, in many ways, been an asset to my practice.
